Questions
Can I import scanned images or documents from my Hard disk or network Drive
Can I use Barcode separator sheets
Can I read the barcodes from my scanned documents
Answer: Yes - but only PDF Files, not JPG,TIFF etc..
OptimiDoc Cloud has the ability for users to re-process already scanned PDF Documents so that you could leverage the power of OptimiDoc Cloud OCR & Barcode Recognition for Refiling.
For example, you may have bulked scanned to you network Drive or Local Hard disk a range of PDF documents and you may have included Separator sheets, or the Documents may have Barcodes that could help with separation and filing to clients folders etc.
If you would like to Reprocess PDF Documents that have been scanned onto your network Drive or Local Drive you will need to have a OptimiDoc Cloud Pro User License, which includes Barcode Recognition for Document Separation and Data Indexes, Full Text Searchable PDF Output, Zonal OCR and Barcode Extraction, OCR Redaction and much more.
Once you have a User License you will get access to the OptimiDoc Cloud Portal Workplace Application where you can Process any of the Workflows that suits your Reprocessing requirements.
Tips:
If you want to scan several documents for OptimiDoc Cloud to Re-process then use some sort of Document Separator Sheet, Beit a Blank Page, or page count and or Barcode / Patch Code. This way you will create one Large PDF File, which will contain many client documents/ Pages and then OptimiDoc Cloud will split the PDF document into individual PDF Files for its Final destination.
